Mr. Baker is a Senior Architect with experience in hospitality, governmental, commercial, institutional, and residential projects.  His expertise includes master planning, feasibility studies, conceptual design, interior design, renovation/rehabilitation, presentations, accessibility consulting, and design and construction documents.  He is responsible for all aspects of design, from concept through completion.  Mr. Baker has worked on a variety of challenging interdisciplinary projects of various magnitudes.  One of JN+A’s most experienced master planners, he leads the planning and design teams for most of JN+A’s resort and conference center projects.  Prior to joining JN+A in 1996, he was a project manager/project architect with a nationally ranked architecture and engineering firm specializing in multi-discipline projects.

His renovation experience also includes work on several historic buildings.  In addition, he has worked on a variety of conference facilities for both commercial and governmental clients.  Mr. Baker has been involved in all phases of the design process, from conceptual design through construction.  He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Boston Architectural College in Massachusetts, which offers the only concurrent work-study curriculum in the United States.  Mr. Baker is a licensed Architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
