Mr. Feldman has expertise in all facets of Project Management, Architecture and Interior Design, Design Management, and Construction Administration. His experience includes work as Architect and Owner's Representative in the direction and management of commercial, institutional, educational, residential, and hospitality projects. Complementing his education in Architecture, Mr. Feldman completed his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University in December 1998 and is a member of the Maryland Bar.
Prior to joining JN+A, Mr. Feldman has worked on the feasibility, design, and construction of diverse projects including hotels, high rise commercial corporate headquarters, educational facilities, civic projects, and housing development projects over the past 12 years. His experience includes managing construction of several 5-10 million dollar projects at Hess Construction Company, where he held the position of Project Manager in 1995. In that capacity, he developed the construction schedules, bid work to sub-contractors, managed the construction in the field on a daily basis, and prepared monthly payment requests. From 1988 through 1994, he was employed as an Associate with Grimm and Parker P.C. where he was responsible for the Architecture and Construction Administration of numerous projects ranging in size from 1.5 million to 22 million dollars. In addition, he was responsible for quality control and specifications for all projects. From 1986 to 1988, he was employed by Raymond E. Maritz and Sons in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was a Project Architect. His duties included design and construction of a 16 story, 40 million dollar corporate headquarters, as well as several smaller projects.
In addition to hotel, commercial, institutional, and residential design, Mr. Feldman has extensive experience in all phases of construction. He has managed construction from the bidding and negotiation stage through completion of the project. His proven abilities in construction as well as design give him the unique qualifications to provide total project management services for the client. These services include negotiating and directing the contracts for the design, construction, purchasing, and installation of new development as well as renovations and reconstructions. In performing these functions as the Owner's representative, he is able to utilize his extensive experience in these fields to ensure that the client obtains the services of the most qualified consultants at the least cost.
He received his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degree from the Washington University in St. Louis and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Feldman also held the position of Director of the Potomac Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
