About T. RUSSEL CLEM, JR.
Mr. Clem has over 20 years of experience in design development, composition, production, and coordination of construction documents and extensive experience in computer systems and CAD management. He also has extensive knowledge of sustainable design and is a LEED Accredited Professional. As the Director of JN+A, he oversees the development of construction documents and details for a number of projects, manages the project team during the design phase, provides construction administration services once his projects reach the construction phase, and monitors the project’s progress through to completion, at which time he completes the final punch list for the building and assists in turnover to operations.
As Manager of Information Systems, Mr. Clem is responsible for the supervision and administration of all CAD and administrative computer operations including file management of all CAD projects, office CAD standards, and system setup and maintenance. He also takes a lead role in the creation of presentation materials that include brochures, presentation boards of elevations, renderings, and site and floor plans, 3D animation “virtual tour” videos, and CD-ROM marketing materials.
Prior to joining JN+A, Mr. Clem was a CAD architect and CAD Operations Director for a firm that provided architectural services for many federal government projects both in the U.S. and abroad. In this capacity, he gained expertise in designing in both metric and imperial dimensions. His experience in computer systems management also includes the provision of architectural and computer aided facility management services to all of the Washington, DC area offices of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Mr. Clem received his Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Montgomery Community College and AutoLisp Programming training from the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering.
